1. What Sentinel collects
Sentinel collects the minimum necessary to operate the license and update system:
- License activation count (how many machines have activated your key)
- Heartbeat: a daily ping confirming your subscription is active
- If you opt in to error reports: stack traces only — no code, no file paths, no scan findings
2. What Sentinel never collects
- Your code or file contents
- Scan findings from your codebase
- Editor activity, keystrokes, or usage patterns
- Any personally identifiable information beyond your email (from LemonSqueezy checkout)
3. Where your data lives
All scan results, CIS findings, and session data are stored locally on your machine under
~/Library/Application Support/Sentinel/.
Nothing in those directories is transmitted anywhere.
4. Third parties
- LemonSqueezy — processes your payment and manages your subscription.
They are the Merchant of Record. Their privacy policy applies to billing data.
- Cloudflare — hosts the license verification endpoint and CDN.
License key hashes are cached briefly (30 minutes) to reduce API calls.
5. Your rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you have the right
to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold.
Email info@vohux.com with any request.
We will respond within 30 days.
